Can't Select IMAP folder - Incorrect Mailbox Pointer??

Hi...I am trying to use the program to get the bounces from one of my IMAP folders on my mail server. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. In my settings I have the correct Host, Type, Security, Account ID and Password. The only thing I think I have wrong is the Mailbox. The default is INBOX, and when I select that I get the following log:

8/28 19:39:36 ~ Status: Connecting to jimbo.machighway.com (IMAP) Port: 993 Security: SSL v2/3

8/28 19:39:37 * BYE Logging out
8/28 19:39:37 ~ Status: Mailbox pointer = 1
8/28 19:39:37 ~ Status: Disconnected from IMAP server
8/28 19:39:37 ~ Status: Messages deleted = 0 of 0

This seems to indicate to me that the connection is working, but since the "Inbox" is empty, there are no emails to dredge. What I need to do is connect to a folder where all my bounced emails are. I have a total of 4 folders listed under my inbox. Here is the log when I try to connect using the address that Apple Mail tells me my folder is located at:

8/28 19:43:38 ~ Status: Connecting to jimbo.machighway.com (IMAP) Port: 993 Security: SSL v2/3
8/28 19:43:38 ~ Status: Connected to IMAP server
8/28 19:43:38 > A0001 LOGIN dreamsco **********
8/28 19:43:38 * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE AUTH=PLAIN AUTH=LOGIN] Dovecot ready.
8/28 19:43:38 > A0002 SELECT INBOX/marci_nault@101dreamscometrue_com
8/28 19:43:38 A0001 OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE SORT SORT=DISPLAY THREAD=REFERENCES THREAD=REFS MULTIAPPEND UNSELECT IDLE CHILDREN NAMESPACE UIDPLUS LIST-EXTENDED I18NLEVEL=1 CONDSTORE QRESYNC ESEARCH ESORT SEARCHRES WITHIN CONTEXT=SEARCH LIST-STATUS QUOTA] Logged in
8/28 19:43:38 ~ Status: Mailbox pointer = 1
8/28 19:43:38 ~ Status: Total messages in Mailbox = 0
8/28 19:43:38 A0002 NO Unknown namespace.
8/28 19:43:38 ~ Status: Mailbox pointer = 1
8/28 19:43:38 ~ Status: Total messages in Mailbox = 0

It seems like I log in correctly, but it tells me there are 0 messages in there when there are thousands. I have tried all sorts of combinations of my folder name with no luck. Does the Mailbox pointer = 1 mean anything? What does NO Unknown namespace mean?

I've tried the following:

INBOX
INBOX/marci.nault
INBOX/marci_nault
INBOX/[email protected]
INBOX/marci_nault+101dreamscometrue_com
INBOX/marci_nault@101dreamscometrue_com
INBOX/dreamsco
INBOX\marci.nault
INBOX\marci_nault
INBOX\[email protected]
INBOX\marci_nault+101dreamscometrue_com
INBOX\marci_nault@101dreamscometrue_com
INBOX\dreamsco
marci.nault
marci_nault
[email protected]
marci_nault+101dreamscometrue_com
marci_nault@101dreamscometrue_com
dreamsco

I have never experienced this problem before. On any other email account that I have I simply use the POP option and set the correct username and password, and the program pulls all the bounces. I tried POP settings but no luck.

Ok...this is weird...I just tried the settings on POP and this happened:

8/29 16:52:32 ~ Status: Connecting to jimbo.machighway.com (POP3) Port: 995 Security: SSL v2/3
8/29 16:52:33 > USER dreamsco

8/29 16:52:34 > PASS **********

8/29 16:52:34 +OK Marked to be deleted.
8/29 16:52:34 ~ Status: Messages marked for deletion = 1 of 1
8/29 16:52:34 > QUIT
8/29 16:52:35 +OK Logging out, messages deleted.
8/29 16:52:35 ~ Status: Mailbox pointer = 2
8/29 16:52:35 +OK Server has quitted successfully!
8/29 16:52:35 ~ Status: Messages deleted = 1 of 1

It seems to have found 1 bounce but there are hundreds in the marci.nault account that need to be dredged. Also, why does it now say Mailbox pointer = 2??

About IMAP, any folder with a '\' or '/' is wrong. You have to use the folder name alone like 'marci.nault'. That folder has to be at root level.

About POP, there is no folder support, only the Inbox is processed. 'marci.nault' is a folder, it can be accessed by IMAP only since the POP protocol has no support for folders.

Ahhh I see...thanks for the explanation. Am I to assume then that since my email folder is not at root level, then I cannot access it via Bounce Handler? When I look at the address that Apple Mail tells me the folder is at, it says it is at INBOX/marci... Since it has a "/" in there, then it is not at root correct?
