If it is a 301 error, why does the diagnose command work (which has the same 301) work? Since I also managed the website for many years and set up the directory structure, I can say with certainty that there is no redirection going on. I've seen a couple threads on this already that appear to be unresolved (e.g. it's a problem with your webhost). My webhost couldn't resolve it for me.
