IMAP Emails not being deleted then it crashes!

Hi, I'm a new user, but have tried to find out an answer to this before posting. I have an inbox exclusively for bounced emails which EBH can access. I set the remove messages from server tick box and off it goes! It seems to get to an indeterminate number probably just over 1500 or so...
