iCash usa i conti per ogni contabilizzazione, dalle banche alle piccole spese, dei conti, si possono così ottenere in ogni momento dei consuntivi settoriali, creare dei rendiconto e conoscere ogni faccenda di denaro. Tutti i conti sono organizzati in categorie e tipologie.
Le categorie, creabili secondo le proprie esigenze, sono raggruppate secondo tipologie predeterminate. Un conto ed anche una categoria possono essere di un solo tipo. Le tipologie disponibili sono: Banche, Entrate, Spese, Debiti, Portafoglio, Beni ed Apertura. Sono identificabili dalle icone colorate a schermo e dalle icone in grigio negli stampati:

è molto importante classificare nel modo corretto i vari conti attribuendo loro la tipologia adeguata, in quanto iCash utilizza esclusivamente per creare i resoconti e per visualizzare il bilancio generale. La tipologia è anche usata per i raggruppamenti nella produzione del "Bilancio" e del "Profitto e perdita". Nel profitto e perdita sono conteggiate solo le Entrate e le Spese. Il bilancio riporta la vostra disponibilità mentre profitto indica il flusso di denaro:
