Updating Server Status

Hi,

I have an issue with eMail Bounce Handler. It downloads a view messages from my POP server and than changes the status to "Updating server status ..." it never goes back to continue downloading. I had it for almost 20 hours on. I than click on stop and start again and it will download another 50-100 messages and than does the same. Does anyone have an idea why it does this?
I must say that the pop account has 60000 messages in.

I even tried to download the actively mail file as a text file and parse this but since it is over 1GB the [program crashes immediately if I use this to parse the mail.

Any tip would be very welcome.

it is stuck on "STAT" and does not move until I press stop.

in the pointer log I see the following when it stops:

STAT is a standard POP command to ask the server how many messages are waiting in the inbox. Have you asked your server about that? Have you tried IMAP?
