Templates not saving

I have just purchased MBM Pro v7.6.

There seems to be a problem with saving documents. I have tried saving templates & they show up in the File>Templates directory.

However, when I restart the MBM, they have gone!

Checking: Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<your_account_name>\My Documents\Maxprog\MaxBulk Mailer\My Templates\
I find an empty folder.

I don't know if it is related but I also get error emails:
1146: Table 'database****.tbl_mlm_sub_clk_test' doesn't exist

Have you checker your computer with a tool like TuneUP? Perhaps 'C:\Documents and Settings\<your_account_name>\My Documents\Maxprog\MaxBulk Mailer\My Templates\ ' is read only.

I have unchecked & applied 'Read-only' in Windows Explorer but it does not save the change.

Will Tune-Up achieve better results?

You could try the demo just in case...

Have installed TuneUp demo but there is no reference to changing folder attributes.

Is it a case of editing the System Registry (which I am not happy doing)?

You just need to run TuneUP and let it check and fix problems on your computer. None of our software use the Windows registry so don't worry.

TuneUp didn't find any problems.

but still the Read-only won't change.

I tried creating C:\Test folder & even that did not respond.
Something is preventing the folders in C: from being written!

Yes ... My Documents, Maxprog & MaxBulk Mailer...

Is your anti-virus up-to-date? Did you made a full scan lately? This is just in case.

Yes, McAfee the anti-virus is fine.

Is it normal that all folders in C: are fixed as Read-only?

No, your home account folders should be set to Read/Write.

It did nothing.

I've not had any success changing Read-only on any folder in C: drive,
even the test folder. Followed MS guidelines without success.

Is the issue of My Templates folder being Read-only a bit mis-leading?

I haven't yet found a folder on my PC that isn't Read-only but that doesn't stop you putting files into them. To illustrate this, I can save .mbm documents to a folder but not the template.

I still get this error message emailed to self when I try & save templates:
[MLM] Error inserting record from TrackClicktoDB()
1146: Table 'database*****.tbl_mlm_sub_clk_test' doesn't exist

Sounds like database corruption to me, although I used automatic install without a hitch!

I would reinstall but I have just done a maillout & need to see the stats.
