smtp with authentification

Using MaxBulkMailer Version 7.5 Pro.

I dont know ho to set up the smtp server definition with authentification. The provider tells me tu use the following definition with individual port definition for port 587:

Einstellungen > smtp server zugang > smtp host:
smtpauth.bluewin.ch:587

Sending out bulks fails and I get the following message in MaxBulkMail:

Can someone help me?

Try to use ESMTP for the authentication. I believe it is what your server is expecting. It is explained here.

Thankyou Stanbuskt,

that must be the solution for the problem. As the provider disabled this function for the level of services I use (free of costs), I will have to look for an other solution with an other provider.
