I have an FTP server set up with port 22. Why won't it let me use this? It works on my windows ftp client.

As an aside - your registration process is a complete waste of time and space. Seriously - 8 character password with numbers and mixed case letters - for a support forum??? Plus you have a verifier question about the price of some product which I did not purchase, and which I had to research on your site to find the answer to. The most annoying experience I've had in quite a while. I could go on....but I"ll stop now.

Sorry but our system works that way and we will not change it. It is the only way we have found to avoid spam on this system. Would you really like to see porn posts on this forum? I don't! Regarding the maintenance of this forum I believe I am doing a great job, not a single spam in the last twelve months, since I added all that things that annoy you so much.

I fully agree with you but did you ask yourself about why I did that? Why I spend my time looking for such stupid questions? I will answer you right away, spam, forum spam, massive forum spam attacks... Do you imagine when you come back to the office on Monday with a lot of constructive things to do but you find your company forums hacked and flooded with junk, thousands of entries everywhere, sometimes crashed or with a damaged database? and you have to spend all day fixing that mess?

Well, thanks to those silly questions this forum is clean of spam and usable once you manage to register :D. Internet robots (bots) are more and more clever, you have to be even clever than they are... after a research and experiments I found those questions the best way to stop the problem for good.

And I am sorry it is annoying, I know it is... It is because stupid people use the internet only for spamming. On the other hand, if you are here it is because you are still clever than a robot :D
