Opening message in favorites

When I open a message in favorites it seems to loose all of the preferences?
There is no subject, it was created in style text and opens in plain text and any images I imbedded in line are lost

What do you call 'favorites'?

Not sure how to explain this for it is the programs term not mine. There is an icon on the far left toolbar of a clipboard that says when clicked "add to favorites" from a drop down menu, when added the message becomes available in that drop down menu

Understood! This is to reuse text only. It means 'Favorite Text'. It is like a text clipboard. This is not to save documents, for that use the 'File > Save' menu.
