no undeliverable-Adresses in the statistics

I have some hundred undeliverable mails in my POP-Account, but at the MLM-statistic, they are not shown. Everthing else works fine with the stats (Opened, Unsubscribed, clicked Links ...) but unfortunately no undelverable mails appere.

Eventually the reason is to find here: I use two differend E-Mails for my Newsletters. "Noreply@" ist the Errors ans sendback-mail, "newsletter@" is the answer-mail.

What do you mean?

"To get bounces added to MLM database you have to use eMail Bounce handler."

What are the steps involved?

What is the Bounces in the Statistics used for and when does it reflect any entries?

Get eMail Bounce handler and get him to handle your bounces, either directly from your server or locally. eMail Bounce Handler will add bounce info to your MLM statistics.

Bounces in the statistics show you how many messages were not accepted for delivery, that's all. Usually because an address is bad or no longer exists.

So you need eMail Bounce Handler ( a separate application) to handle bounces and it will interface directly with MLM without any further work on my side? (seamlessly?)

Will automatically show up in Statistics without any extra step as , say, importing?

Yes, absolutely. eMail Bounce Handler will use your MLM settings stored in your MaxBulk Mailer preferences.

So it this all Automatic? No further input from me needed?

Or are there steps to follow? Or does the software detect everything needed automatically and log the bounces in the relevant Delivery #? So it will indicate that ,for example, Delivery # 20 had these bounces. and Delivery # 100 had these bounces?

It is automatic, if MaxBulk Mailer is set properly eMail Bounce Handler will insert the bounces it finds into the MLM database for each delivery.

Being automatic is great!

Just wondering? .... how does eMail Bounce Handler know where MLM database is? And how does it know which delivery # it is from?

Can't remember seeing a column that indicates that in the eMail Bounce Handler window. Or in any export data I make.

eMail Bounce Handler knows where MaxBulk Mailer preferences are. It opens then and get all the MLM data it needs. It knows the delivery number from the bounces since MaxBulk Mailer includes that info in all the outgoing messages, in the header part to be exact.

I have been sending out my Mail Campaigns thru MaxBulk Mailer and have recently been using eMail Bounce Handler.

Based on previous discussions on this topic, you mentioned that the Statistics table is automatically linked (or gaining access) to Bounces from eMail Bounce Handler.

Anyway, if it is automatic, it's NOT working for me. What should I look for to fix this problem? MaxBulk Mailer file is saved as RealEstate.mbm and the eMail Bounce Handler file is saves as 8July2011.bem (today's date). I also tried using the same name -- RealEstate.bem. Am I doing something wrong somewhere? Why is it NOT working?

Should the files (.mbm and .bem) be named the same? Should they reside in the same folder?

Also, will it work if I used a "local" list as well as a "remote" list?

In current eMail Bounce Handler version you know have to enter the MLM URL in the preferences.

Does any of these setting in the Setting Tab of eMail Bounce Handler AND MaxBulk Mailer HAVE to match in order of Bounces to appear in Statistics?

My sending email address (I have about 15 different ones) is DIFFERENT from the REPLY TO and ERRORS email address.
Does this matter?

Preferences for MaxBulk Mailer

Preferences for Email Bounce Handler

Are these right?

The Bounces still don't show up in MBM Statistics.

I had Statistics working on MBM for unsubscribes and click, but NOT for Bounces.
So as advised by you, I entered the MLM details for Email Bounce Handler.
THEN I did my mail out on those updated settings.

But still NO Bounces Statistics. :(

I have several changes scheduled for eMail Bounce Handler. One is related to MLM handling.
