MLM Upload questions

Hi, i am uploading via mydomain.com/lm/lm.php

It finishes and then says;
List uploaded successfully
0 email addresses were added to "mylist". We found 0 duplicates and 0 bad addresses ...

So i'm guessing no emails were uploaded?

I notice in Maxprog you can select "recipients" and then under the drop down you can select "Upload to MLM"

So has the first part failed and if so, why, or should i be loading the lists in Maxprog and uploading from there?

Thank you for any advise

There are 3 ways of uploading a list:

1.- Using the 'Recipients > Upload to MLM' menu.

2.- Using the lm/html/upload_list.php on your server with a web browser.

3.- Uploading the list to your server by FTP to the folder called 'imports' (if it doesn't exist, create it) and then using the command lm.php?cmd=import&list=LIST_NAME&pwd=YOUR_PASSWORD&action=update

For the 3 cases the format of the list has to be:
Firstname<tb>Lastname<tb>Company<tb>EmailAddress<tb>
where <tb> is a tab character.

Hi, I have a similar problem, I have uploaded a list using option 2.
It says 'uploaded successfully' but then says 0 email addresses were added.
When testing the unsubscribe link in a test email, I get an error message 'list1' can not be found, my list is called test1.
I'm not using a mysql, I'm using plain text option.
When I try your option 1 for uploading to MLM (Recipients > Upload to MLM) the click box to Upload, is greyed out with every option I choose.
Option 3 sounds to technical for me I would need more of a walkthrough, if this is what I need to do.

Any help would be most appreciated, I'm very new to all this.
Looking forward to getting it all sorted.
Thanks

I am still getting nowhere, i tried to upload via recipients as the browser option still does not work

When i upload via Recipients, the green status bar goes along then finishes, i go to Phpmyadmin and there is nothing extra in there

I called my upload June so i figured it should show that, but all i have is:

# tbl_mlm_sub
# Browse tbl_mlm_sub_clk
# Browse tbl_mlm_sub_clk_test
# Browse tbl_mlm_sub_loc

Appreciate any help

Thanks

Ah, I did not add the lm.php in the General Preferences. I can now upload but it gives me an error 'An error occurred during the list upload process'. I'm not sure where else to look.
Thanks

Is the list in the format:

Firstname1<tab>Lastname1<tab>Company1<tab>EmailAdress1
Firstname2<tab>Lastname2<tab>Company2<tab>EmailAdress2
Firstname3<tab>Lastname3<tab>Company3<tab>EmailAdress3
...etc... ?

Hi, yes that is how it is in Maxprog, i then try and upload via recipients, "Upload to MLM", it shows the green bar and then finishes, doesnt tell me anything at all

I choose "The selected list" under upload, and then under "To", i have to add a name every time, so i just type in "june" everytime so i thought in the Phpmyadmin, there would be an extra table in there called June?

Where in the database should i see the uploaded emails? or should it say something like "Upload successful"?

Thank you for your help

Have you tried to use the '.../lm/html/upload_list.php' page with your browser? It is an alternative for uploading lists.

There is only one table with all lists so you will not see new tables. The list is a field record like any others.
Where in the database should i see the uploaded emails?
In the 'tbl_mlm_sub' table.
or should it say something like "Upload successful"?
Yes, you should get a message window giving information of the number of recipients uploaded and the duplicates found.

Hi Stan

I went to http://mydomain.com//lm/html/upload_list.php

I got this message;
List(s) 'june' uploaded successfully

The file '2nd 5.txt' has been uploaded to the list(s) 'june' successfully.

0 email address(es) were added to june. We found 0 duplicate(s) and 0 bad address(es)..

Is this correct?

It says uploaded successfully but then says 0 email addresses were added?

So have they been added?

I went into tbl_mlm_sub but cant actually see any emails in there

Thanks for your help

Hi, just went to Phpmyadmin and 'tbl_mlm_sub' table, under Records it has 0, under size it has 1.0 kb

Can i presume there are no emails in there?

Thanks again

Open a support ticket and give me the lm url and your password. I will try here.

Hi stan.

I have the same problem.

I get the message that i have added 0 contacts - although I have imported 1 ?

If i use the web based form for subscribing - I get a 403 message error on the site.

I do not know which file to chmod - ?
please help as this is taking loads of time for me to figure out!
I cannot either find a support ticket...

yep!

it seems to work on the web based ... not the upload func.

but the subscription part works fine and comes in with a list in the programme under remote lists - as it should.

I constantly get a message 403 that the lm.php is not available or forbidden when trying to upload from the programme and directly to mlm..

i have checked for updates - and my status is absolutely current regarding updates.

NB: thnx for quick reply - that´s vital for me!

Ok, so everything works but uploading a list directly from MaxBulk Mailer using the 'Recipients > Upload to MLM' menu, right? When you do that you get an error 403, right? Are you using MaxBulk Mailer v7.7?
