Keeping the embedded HTML link active in PDF's

Does anyone know how to keep the embedded HTML link active in PDF's. I can create a PDF with a link embedded no problems. When I drag and drop the file into max pro or try to browse it as an attachment the link when it sends out in my test emails doesnt work.
