Next week MLM v3.0.7 will be released as part of MaxBulk Mailer v8.3.8 however we have decided to make it available right now as a separate download. It is available here.

This new version is much faster while uploading lists and includes lots of little fixes and enhancements, most of them related to posts in this forum. It works with any MaxBulk Mailer version but it is required for MaxBulk Mailer v8.3.8. Indeed MaxBulk Mailer v8.3.8 is more integrated with MLM and needs that version to work properly. That integration is about how MLM entries get updated when they are modified inside MaxBulk Mailer, now it is done right away, no needs to upload a list again after editing single entries.

If you decide to wait for MaxBulk Mailer v8.3.8 to be released next week, you will be able to upgrade (from any MLM version) to v3.0.7 just using the 'MaxBulk Mailer > Install MLM...' on the Mac or 'Help > Install MLM...' on Windows. That will replace current files with v3.0.7 files keeping your data and lists. Remember that this system will CHMOD the 'lm' folder to 777. If you used 775, 755, 705... you will have to set that again.

If you decide to upgrade MLM now or you have problems with the MaxBulk Mailer v8.3.8 built-in installer
you can of course upgrade manually. You just need to download the new MLM v3.0.7 package here and do the following with your favorite FTP software:

Upload to the 'lm' folder:
lm_functions.php
lm_admin.php
lm_prefs.php
lm_strings.php
lm.php

*** If you upgrade from a v2 version you will also need to: ***

Upload to the 'templates' folder:
cpanelfooter.html
cpanelheader.html
'cz' folder

Upload the 'pictures' folder.

Upload to the 'html' folder:
subscribe_auto_multiple.php
subscribe_auto_single.php
subscribe_multiple.php
subscribe_single_fixed.php
subscribe_single_selection.php
upload_list.php

Where do I get an overview of what MLM brings to the MaxBulk Mailer table? What it will do for me? (I send 1 or 2 mailings per month to 75 individuals.)

Where do I get help on what fields need to be filled out in the MLM install?

I looked at MBM Help, but didn't find a search feature to search for MLM.

I'm also interested in the new feature that gives feedback on whether the emails are opened. If it makes sense, could you point me toward doc on that?

I've reviewed the three doc areas you provided. Thanks.

I suspect that the install would be problematic for me since:

* the group I serve with the mailing list has no website

* I only wish a single feature: checking to see what emails are opened, and perhaps what links are followed.

* I am very unfamiliar with database anything, and would have to search diligently to look for any usernames, passwords, etc.

My only real interest is to send my emails to 75 folks, and then a few days later check to see which ones didn't open it. I'd then contact them to see if they needed something else from me, or if they would like to be removed from the list.

BTW: your 5 Tips video was helpful. Thanks again.

v-i-d-e-o is the word censored above. ;)

Unfortunately MLM needs a web site. The web site can be on any server not necessarily the server where the email server is. It doesn't matter.

Yes, the v-i-d-e-o word is censored because of a spam attack we suffered some time ago. :?
