How to import mails into the Bounce Handler?

Hi!

I would like to import mails into the Bounce Handler list, but it's not working.
After having tried it via clipboard and "Dredge" I read in another post regarding this topic that you recommend to drag and drop the mails to a folder on the desktop and then drag and drop them into the program. But that's not working either. There is running something, but the list remains empty. The protocol is saying:

2/6 11:41:11 ~ Mail Subject: ''
2/6 11:41:11 ~ Applying rules to ""
2/6 11:41:11 ~ No bounce found.
2/6 11:41:11 ~ Mail Subject: ''
2/6 11:41:11 ~ Applying rules to ""
2/6 11:41:11 ~ No bounce found.
2/6 11:41:11 ~ Mail Subject: ''
2/6 11:41:11 ~ Applying rules to ""
2/6 11:41:11 ~ No bounce found.
2/6 11:41:11 ~ Mail Subject: ''

2/6 11:41:11 ~ No bounce found.
2/6 11:41:11 ~ Mail Subject: 'G+J medientrend Umfrageerinnerung'
2/6 11:41:11 ~ Applying rules to "G+J medientrend Umfrageerinnerung"
2/6 11:41:11 ~ No bounce found.

2/6 11:41:12 ~ Mail Subject: ''

2/6 11:41:12 ~ No bounce found.

So obviously there is a problem with detecting the mail subject, isn't it? I am working with Outlook 2010 and when copying the mails to the folder on the desktop I get .msg files which are named after the respective mail subject. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for you help!

Are the messages bounces? eMail Bounce Handler can only get emails from bounces. Your connection log shows you are not processing bounces.

yes, they were bounces. not all of them, but most. and they all had a mail subjects - which - except for the one 'G+J medientrend Umfrageerinnerung' were not detected for some reasons.

to be honest: i am not sure. can you explain a bit further, how i would do that? for now i am just selecting the mails in my outlook inbox, drag and drop them into a folder on the desktop (then i get .msg-files) and then i am trying to drag and drop them into the program.

The way you do it should work. The other way is to select the messages and save them to a file.

well... then why is it not working?

in the online manual it's saying:

From the clipboard
Open your mail application. Select a bounce. Set the application to display all headers and copy all the text.

From a plain text file
Open your mail application. Select one or more bounces and save them to a file making sure all headers are also included.

how do i "display all headers" and make sure "all heades are included" wehen copying the messages in Outlook 2010? maybe that's what's causing the error?

Drag and drop one bounce to your desktop, then open the bounce file with Notepad. Do you see the headers?

Hhhm. No, there are no headers in there. There is a lot of numbers and symbols and in some bounces the text of the email that was originally sent. But the header of the bounce mail is not in there. However, the header is the name of the .msg-file that I get when dragging and dropping the bounce mail on the desktop, but I guess, that's not helping, right?
Is there something I need to change in the settings of Outlook 2010 so that the headers are automatically copied?

Thanks a lot for your support!!
