Help with online statistics?

I hope someone can help – I have just got a new computer and installed MaxBulk Mailer, and transferred over all my mailing lists, sent messages, logs, etc. All seemed to be working okay, but when I click to view online statistics, although it presents me with a list of sent messages, when I select one, I get the following error message:

Error #103 – the URL is not valid.
lm/?
cmd=getclicks&pwd=XXX&delivery=118&return=XML&Lang=us

I obviously haven't included the real password.

Any ideas?

Many thanks, Frances

Have you pasted the MLM full absolute URL starting with 'http://' into MaxBulk Mailer preferences?

Thanks for helping me with this. I have included the full URL as you gave me, but I am still getting the same error message.

For interest, I looked at the file lm.php on my server, and compared it with the original I have on my computer. It has many fewer lines of code. Is that correct? It ends in line 582, whereas the file on my computer goes up to line 1125. I haven't knowingly done anything to the file since I uploaded it when I purchased the software.

Is there anything to lose (like stored statistics!) if I upload the file from my computer to the server, and see if that solves the problem?

Many thanks, Frances

The file should end with ?>
If it doesn't just upload it again. Don't worry, that will not affect your data.

Okay – I have uploaded the file lm.php from my computer. It ends as you describe ?>

I set Permissions to 644, as the file before was.

I am still getting the same error message on the statistics, and I have also found that if you try to subscribe to the mailing list, nothing happens. When you click the “submit” button, you just get a blank page.

It looks like something has gone wrong, perhaps someone has tampered with it - if you have any more suggestions, I'd be really grateful!

I've just tried changing to 755, but it's still not working. Should any other files be 755? I checked, and the lm folder is 777, as it should be.

Really confused, as all was working fine, and I hadn't changed anything, except getting a new computer!

Thanks, Frances

The installation help says: Use your FTP software to CHMOD the ‘lm’ folder to 777 (or 775 or 755). There is nothing about changing script privileges, only the 'lm' folder. What error do you get right now?

That error is correct but indeed there is something wrong. Have you tried to reinstall MLM? and set only the 'lm' folder to 777? or 775 or 755?
