Error Code #64

Hi Stan,

I've tried everything I know but no matter what lists or individual email addresses I throw at this program, I get either Errot #64 or "Bad Address" I never get "Valid Address" I've tried it on my own email address and a large list (as per attached picture)

I have the preferences set to "Factory Default"
I have entered my own email address in the preferences "Advanced" tab
My ISP is not blocking Port 25
I have not maxed out any daily or hourly emails sent limit.

What is Error #64 telling me.....??

Could you test a single address, not of yours, and send me the text you get in the eMail Verifier console panel?

Thanks Stan for the prompt response.

I used an email address I found on your site and you can see from the graphic I got "Error #64"

The following is the console log as requested:

I need the code you get in the eMail Verifier Console, not the Mac OS X system console actually. :D

OK, from eMail Verifier's Connection log when I retried two addresses, neither my own:

Yes, it looks like my ISP is blocking Port 25:

"MBPro:~ duncanjones$ telnet smtp.maxprog.com 25
Trying 209.68.5.64...
Connected to relay.pair.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
554-203.176.103.250 has not been authenticated to relay mail
554 Connect to your mailbox before sending mail via this relay
Connection closed by foreign host."

What does "Connect to your mailbox before sending mail via this relay" mean.....?? I've got Apple mail open in the background, sending and receiving emails.

I can successfully "Ping" 203.176.103.250

Hi Stan,
New day in the office.....checked Port #25 and got:

"MBPro:~ duncanjones$ telnet mail.capstonepartners.com.au 25
Trying 117.55.224.137...
Connected to mail.capstonepartners.com.au.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 mango.cbr.hosting-server.com.au ESMTP"

so with everything OK, I tried [email protected] again and got:

"[01] 3/6 12:10:23 MX <[email protected]> -> [mx-caprica.easydns.com,mx-caprica.easydns.com]
[01] 3/6 12:10:23 > CONNECT TO: [mx-caprica.easydns.com]
[01] 3/6 12:10:23 Error #64
[01] 3/6 12:10:23 Trying connexion again...
[01] 3/6 12:10:23 > CONNECT TO: [mx-caprica.easydns.com]
[01] 3/6 12:10:23 Error #64
[01] 3/6 12:10:23 Trying connexion again...
[01] 3/6 12:10:23 > CONNECT TO: [mx-caprica.easydns.com]"

So its not a blocked Port #25 that's giving me the problem...

Following this page, error 64 means 'Host is down'. Have you tried to enter DNS information to the eMail Verifier preferences?
