can you have cc as a variable from the recipients list?

apologies - if this is an old question - i did try and search for an answer...

Is it possible to send a bulk e-mail with a variable cc field - so that different recipients from the same list have their message cc'd to different people?

I suppose one way of doing it would be to concatenate e-mails in the e-mail address field....

The Cc and Bcc fields don't support tags yet so it is not possible to change those values during the delivery. A future MaxBulk Mailer version will allow that though.

Any ideas how far in future will this feature be?

I'm having the exact same issue as Tomi. Tomi, or anyone else, have a solution? I'm using v7.5

Any thoughts?

Hi Stan,

Thanks for looking into this. We've bought a copy of MaxBulk Mailer, and we're like to start using it today or tomorrow to send out emails to our clients.

The problem we're having is that we use a tag in the cc field. The field is either blank, has a single email address, or has two email addresses separated by a comma. In our testing, the email sends fine if I simply copy the contents of the cc field for one of the records into the cc field. But if I use the [cc_email] tag which SHOULD do the same thing, it fails.

If you have trouble reproducing the problem, let me know and I'll provide a copy of the MaxBulk Mailer file we're using.

Thanks,

The current MaxBulk Mailer version you have doesn't support multiple comma separated email addresses in a tag when used in the Cc or Bcc field. Next version will give support to that.

ETA?

Thanks for that update, Stan. So we can plan for our mailing needs, do you have an idea of whether the next version is weeks away or years away?
