Tags not working

I'm using MaxBulk Mailer Pro v4.3.1 on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. I can insert tags into my message body, but only the date tags show up in the preview message, and also in the final delivered email. How do I get the other tags to work - as this is one of the features that O bought Max Bulk...
