Hi,

Have purchased the email extractor tool.

Have numerous email accounts within our business and are trying to exract all emails.

Ive tested it on my account first. A conservative estimate is 2,000 email addresses. After some time I cancelled the extractor on 4819 email addresses.

Upon checking the TXT file many email addresses have been extracted to read like this:

c%joebloggs@email.com
++joebolggs@email.com
e038ea9e-9951-4063-94b1-d272328233e0@email.com
/!joebloggs@neujuice.com

Is this normal?

The problem is that I will be uploading the extracted email list to an email fullfillment provider......but cannot uplaod the incorrect emails.

Any suggestions?

This happens because your file is not a plain text file. What kind of file is it?

The mail files are saved as .emix files and .emlx files.

we are dropping the 'mail' folder, which holds the .emix and .emlx files, directly onto the eMail Extractor programme.

They are then spat out onto a .txt file onto the desktop.

Hope this helps!

Have you tried to open the '.mbox' folders and drop the 'Messages' folder to eMail Extractor?

Yes. Have done this.

Am using a Mac.

My steps are:

Open Library Folder
Open Mail Folder
Drop Mail Folders onto email extractor.

Am I missing something here? Are there any step by step guides anywhere?

You are missing last step, open the '.mbox' folders and drop the 'Messages' folder to eMail Extractor.
