MaxNews is the closest thing I have seen to what I consider to be a good newsgroup reader for the Mac. I have just clicked the "Purchase" menu option and it has led me to a page that does not exist.
What has happened to it, has it been discontinued? |

| No, it hasn't been discontinued. It was removed temporally because some of its functions were too CPU intensive. We are currently rewriting those parts. |

Hi
Thanks! Maybe the paged linked to on your website should mention it? It really does give the impression that it has been discontinued!
I noticed that some things were too CPU intensive, like expanding a tree in a newsgroup with thousands of posts for example.
I would like to request two things 
01: SSL support.
02: You email me when the next version is released!

| We removed it because there were complaints about speed. However to enhance speed we have to rewrite almost all the database handling. I hope we can finish soon. |
