I have a text file containing emails that need to be unsubscribed. As per the manual, I named the text file "UNSUBSCRIBE" and dropped it on the recipients list. The status says "Unsubscribing addresses from file UNSUBSCRIBE..." but leaves the list unchanged. Am I doing it wrong? thanx...

You will only see icons changing from a card with a red check mark to a card with a red cross. Look at your list closer to see if recipients were unsubscribed.

Is your file a plain text file? Are you sure it contains at least one address in common with the list? Just tried here, everything work as expected. Hope you are not using a UTF-16 encoded file. None of our products support that encoding.

I figured out the problem I was having, MaxBulk does not like comma separated emails. I replaced the commas with hard returns and it worked fine. I'm using v5. Might want to fix this.

Correct! A Valid list is made of records delimited with line breaks with one e-mail address per record. A list of coma delimited e-mails is not a valid list actually, it is a piece of text. MaxBulk Mailer will only process the first e-mail address.

Newbie (a few days) and new to this board, I don't understand how to use the UNSUBSCRIBE feature.
I have a text file with addresses to unsubscribe (one record per line).
The file is named unsubscribe.txt (DESABONNER.TXT because I'm using the French version)
How to do the drag'n drop action? I don't see my unsubscribe file inside MaxBuild (unregistered version).
Cordialement,
Jean-Luc |

Just load your list in MaxBulk Mailer and drag'n'drop the 'DESABONNER.TXT' file over it. Have you tried?

What do you mean by "load your list in MBM"?
I see two possibilities :
1. File -> Open (but doesn't open .txt files)
2. Import (but shows only a record at a time)

I don't understand how to do...
My MBM is open and the actual adresses are visible in the program (File -> Open -> adresses.mbm).
I want to unsubscribe some adresses from this list.
I have a text file named DESABONNER.TXT where all adresses to unsubscribe are listed line by line (ona address per line, without comma, only carriage return).
The DESABONNER.TXT file is on my hard drive. I'm inside the MBM program and I don't know how to drag and drop the DESABONNER.TXT file. Need I open Windows Explorer? Where to drag? Etc.
French is my native language. Sorry for the errors I could write...
Cordialement,

Just take your file and drag and drop it over the list. That's all.

Sorry for asking again but it doesn't work.
Here is a screen capture:

If I click on the DESABONNER.txt file, I cannot drag them onto the adresses open in MBM (drag doesn't function).
Or I'm missing something?

You have drag and drop that file from the Finder, not from inside MaxBulk Mailer. The 'DESABONNER.txt' file should be for example on your desktop.
