Hello,

I have been trying to import a csv file with 160.000 email address. I reduced the information in the file to just an email address. When it reaches 7.499 addresses, while importing, Maxbulk just freezes up. Windows then kills it after a while.

I can see it using more and more memory, going up to about 500 MB before it crashes.

Any ideas?

Is your file a Plain Text file with one record per line?

Yes, just one file.

When I split it up into 3 files it works, even though the time between records imported seems to increase towards the end of the file. Memory consumption goes through the roof as well, and CPU stays around 50%.

Stopping Maxbulk Mailer takes a while now...

When you stop a delivery MaxBulk Mailer asks the server to close each stream sending a standard SMTP QUIT command. This is the "Asking socket #10 to QUIT..." message. It is slower than closing the streams directly but it is more reliable and secure.

Well, it is too slow. It is currently taking me >30 minutes to stop MaxBulk Mailer. It hangs up on the "[00] 1/4 15:29:57 ~ Status: Asking socket #8 to QUIT..." bit forever.

This is strange because we use a 15 seconds time-out. Just tried here. After 15 seconds all streams are closed.

Nope, takes forever here... Perhaps add it as an optional preference? I would turn it off then.

Please send me the connection log next time that happens so I can find out why it takes so much time.

Are you canceling between two batches when MaxBulk Mailer is not doing any delivery?
