The mass email program times out in contacting our SMTP server but it works fine when sending regular email thru mac mail. Any ideas could this be a router issue. I am running the last build of Tiger. Also is there any SMTP servers for mac that i can use and are free.

Thanks...

Have you tried to use alternative port 587? Add ':587' to your SMTP server address. About free servers, none are worth actually due to strong limitations.

I need the real address to make a test with Telnet. The dummy address is useless for me.

It works fine for me with default port 25:

> telnet smtp.1and1.com 25
Trying 74.208.5.2...
Connected to smtp.1and1.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 smtp.perfora.net (mrus1) Welcome to Nemesis ESMTP server

Is it possible port 25 is blocked by your ISP? Who is your ISP?
