I'm still having the same problem that I posted earlier... Now, however, it seems to be actually worse with the new versions... I've installed eMail Bounce Handler 3.3.1, and now, instead of it being able to automatically clear the email box of bounces, it just seems to increment the pointer without resetting.
e.g. mailbox has 100 emails, and I start eMail Bounce Handler to begin retrieving emails. While retrieving emails, an additional 50 new emails are received. Out of the 150 emails, 15 are NOT bounces, so theoretically the pointer should end up at 15 at the end of many retrievals. However, what is actually happening is that the pointer seems to be stuck out at a high number like 125, then it continually just starts from there without resetting, meaning that there are still a lot of bounces in the account that it hasn't retrieved. I have to manually click on the "Reset" button every once in a while to get this thing to start from the beginning. I once just left it to run for a whole day by itself, and then discovered that evening that there was still over 9000 emails that hadn't been retrieved even though the emails were sent a few days ago.
My setting is:
Check mail every one minute
Remove bounces from server
Can you PLEASE put in an option to RESET the pointer every time before it retrieves email from the server? That should solve this problem I'm having. |
