| I've done the test and found out my ISP has blocked port 25. I understand ISPs sometimes keep port 587 open as an alternate SMTP port. Is it possible to use this alternate port with eMail Verifier (or have the option added in a future version)? Thanks. |

| Unfortunately it is not possible as the whole SMTP system works on port 25. All SMTP servers worldwide would have to support port 587 for eMail Verifier to work. |

| Appreciate the response. How about using 587 as a backup if port 25 is blocked. I.e., check using port 25, if no response or it appears blocked, try 587. |

| We can't do that because MTAs doesn't use alternative ports, only public servers. Also, any port could be used, not only 587. |
