Hi there
Iīm new to MaxBulk Mailer as well as this forum (though not new to most things online;) and encountered a problem:
(Iīm using the latest version, Pro 5.2.1 DE, on Mac OS X 10.4.9)
I designed a mail I want to send in Golive. check.
text & html. check.
Figured out inline images. check.
Configured SMTP alright. check.
Sent several test emails to various of my accounts and looked at the results in various email clients. check.
Everything looked fine and dandy so far.
Set "send-interval" to 00:10 not knowing if that was minutes or seconds. Clicked send and went to do other things. - 15 minutes later according to the log, some messages have been sent, but obviously this interval is minutes not seconds. - Hmm, restarting should be a snap if I understand the manual correctly, so I click "stop" and go to the settings tab in order to send the interval to 00:01 or 00:02.
OOOOPS. - the entire tab is grayed out, I can see it but I canīt change anything.
Oh well, letīs just restart the sending, and have the program have its way, the list is only 90 recipients, so thatīs not that bad.
Nope, no way. MaxBulk Mailer is not exactly hanging, but it certainly is not in the mood to do anything at all
Every once in a while, I can click the "stop" button again, but thatīs it.
The recipients list is grayed out as well, so I canīt look at the entire list to see who already received a mail and who didnīt.
Can I just save the mail I was sending, quit MBMP, restart it, open the saved file, change the interval settings and it continues to send where it stopped? - I didnīt see this clearly stated anywhere, so before I try this, Iīd rather ask here.
Muchas gracias de antemano, saludos desde Madrid

Yes. Save, reopen and press 'send' again.
When you save a document you also save delivery statuses. When you reopen it and press Send button, only undelivered recipients are used. The same happens when you stop and resume. I find strange you can't cancel. Perhaps you have to wait for the server to release the connection. MaxBulk Mailer always try to quit cleanly. It doesn't drop the connection but ask the server to do it. |

OK, thanks for confirming that procedure for "restarting".
Re: cancel: I was probably being unclear, sorry: MBM cancels alright, itīs just that after some time the "stop" button becomes red again, so I can stop again (although the process is already stopped)
Cheers
