Hi,

I've noticed that in the Report Profit and Loss section, Accounts appear as not summing to the default currency when there are multiple currency entries, e.g.

I have, €453,40+£398,67 which Reports as €852,07 whereas, (taking 1£ as €1,4743 or 1.4743 in US/UK notation) it should be €453,40+€587,76=€1041,16.

In the Overview, my Account totals correctly aggregate mixed currency Category entries, i.e. the Account totals are summed to the default currency and update correctly with each currency rate change in the currency editer, so all is well on that side.

Since I am at present only working in these two currencies, what I describe here may not be totally representative. Nevertheless, would you look into that and correct as the case may be.

I have tried to reproduce here unsuccessfully. My totals are correct. Could you open a ticket and attach a sample document (compressed) to easily reproduce this?

Re: Ticket 6498, responded

Hi,

You are omitting exchange rates when creating transactions between GBP and EUR accounts. If you omit a rate iCash automatically uses 1.00. As a result £100 = 100 €.

To fix your problem you have to go through all your transactions and edit the ones using accounts with different currencies setting the 'rate' field to the corresponding exchange rate, the rate at the transaction date.

Problem solved. Thankyou for the pointers. I simply hadn't taken onboard the diffence in handling of Cash Flow as opposed to Assets.
