Hi,

I am having a lot of trouble with formatting emails.

I am using Dreamweaver to create the file, and whether I use the html or Web Page option, what I get back in my Apple Mail loses it's formatting.

Color is gone, some text stays centered while other text goes to the left. The web page is formatted just fine, and I have the CSS embedded into the document.

It's driving me nuts!

Does anyone have any ideas what could be going wrong? I would appreciate any input.

Hugh

MaxBulk Mailer sends your HTML as is so I guess your code has a compatibility problem. Note that email readers have a limited HTML support. It is explained here: Email Client HTML Capability Chart and here: Guidelines for using CSS in email newsletters.

Thanks for the reply.

The chart lists Apple Mail as having support for "Standard html", does this mean that there is no CSS support whatsoever?

Thanks.

Where have you seen Mail has no support for CSS? Mail supports CSS.

The chart you pointed to me said mail supported Standard html - I was just asking if there was or was not support for CSS. I was unsure what "standard" meant.

Yes, as far as I know all modern mail readers support CSS.
