Hi
I would like know how can i send a lot of emails with maxbulk, settings : smtp.gmail.com or smtp.1and1.fr what is the port (25 ? 587 ?) what is the difference ?
And what is the account that will work better, for 10000 mails for example ?
The SMTP port will block my sending work after xx mails ... how many are xx ??
Thank you for your answer ..... |

Gmail is not the best for that task because of the delivery limit per day. I believe it is 1,000/day. You can use Gmail if you like but you would have to set connections to 1, group to 1,000 and interval to 24:00:00. That is 1,000 deliveries per day. The only problem is that for 10,000 recipients it will take 10 days. That means you will have to leave your computer on with MaxBulk open during that time.
The settings for GMail are here: Settings for Gmail.
Port 25 is standard port for sending e-mails. 587 and 2525 are alternative ports in case your ISP is blocking port 25. |

I ran into the same problem about a year ago when my ISP and finally my host stopped me from sending more than a couple of hundred emails per day. I currently use RapidoSMTP which allows you to use the BUILT-IN mail server in OSX. http://www.app4mac.com/action_view_freeware.lasso?-token=($Var_sess_productfree)&-session=WEBS:461089D302bc81E756pir18F5012
It is FREEWARE and works like a charm whenever I send emails - currently sending 88K emails per newsletter. As far as my ISP is concerned, it is just data transferring back and forth! |
