Is there any script or plugin that will generate a complete email open/read report for a blast sent thru Maxbulk Mailer. I need it to report number of opens, unique opens, bounces, and the email address of the opens.
thanks! |

Yes, you can find it here: Click-Through Tracking script.
We also use that script ourselves when sending emails with HTML and online pictures. You can know how many people have opened your message simply using the script with one of your pictures. |

Hi, Stan,
thanks for the quick response. I've checked this script out, and when I click on the "see the click-thru report" link on the page you've linked here, I don't see what I'm looking for. I need a report that gives the exact number of opens, not click-throughs, and I need a list of email addresses that opened the mailer.
Anything you know of that can help me with this?
Thanks again |

| It's up to you to use the script to get the open rate or the click-thru rate. If you embed a picture of your message with the script you will actually get open rate because as soon as your recipient select and display the message the picture is fetched and as you have used the script the open count is incremented, right? Kind of a hack... |

Yep--I know how to do this already, and I know what purpose it serves...but this doesn't give me an actual report listing the email addresses of those who actually opened the email, regardless of whether they responded. This only gives me a count. We need to know exactly who, by email address, opened the email so they can be followed up on specifically.
Are you saying there's nothing that you know of that works with MBM that's going to produce a report with this exact info that I'm looking for?
Sorry to be so particular...I just need to know so I can track down alternative solutions.
thanks! |

Yes, but it is extremely easy to modify the PHP script. Just change it in order to log email addresses rather than URL count. Actually it is much more simple than current script! No duplicate checking, no counting...you just have to write addresses to the file.
Note that all that has nothing to do with MaxBulk Mailer. It has to do with online tracking scripts. MaxBulk Mailer job finishes right after the delivery. Scripts allow you to get data after that. |

How do you embed a picture of your message?
Can you show me the sample code?

Thanks |
